The studio and its projects

Working towards co-operation!

Co-founded by Charlotte and Kevin Buchet in 2015, Wako Factory is an independent game studio based in Nantes that aims to explore video games as an intrinsically social medium. Samurai Riot, our first title, is an arcade beat’em up  that champions cooperation and local multiplayer (couch co-op).

A team of enthusiasts.

Wako Factory aims to challenge the boundaries between real-life and virtual experiences  with projects that have an impact on society.

Part of Atlangames network.

As a board member of Atlangames, Wako Factory works to promote and foster co-operation between the different studios in the area.

An enterprise project supported by Creative Factory.

The Creative Factory is a support programme that was created to accelerate innovative projects with high potential.

Similarly to Capital Games in Île-de-France, Atlangames unites video game studios from Pays de la Loire and Bretagne. The network was created to stimulate the video game market from a regional perspective and provide assistance and advice to the studios.

As a board member of Atlangames, Wako Factory works to promote and foster co-operation between the different studios in the area.

The Creative Factory is a support programme that was created to accelerate innovative projects with high potential.
Wako Factory is one of 6 candidates that were accepted by Creative Factory out of 42 applications in June 2014.

Born from a public-private partnership between the cluster “Quartier de la Création (QDC)” and “Atlanpole (accompanied by their partners : In Extenso, Parthema, Elton Pickford and Ipsilon)”, the programme is divided into three stages spread over 6 months : individualized coaching, tailor-made advice with experts and collaborative workshops.
